To assist WHO in building research capacity in the area of diet, nutrition and oral health, particularly in low and middle income countries.

To assist WHO in implementation and evaluation of community programmes on appropriate exposure to fluoride (through diet) for prevention of dental caries.

To assist WHO in implementing the appropriate education curricular inclusion of NCD common risk factor approaches, diet and nutrition, and oral health promotion.
