Comments:
Nowadays, Thailand becomes an ageing society. Health services and proper care systems specifically for the elderly group need to be prepared and well established. Especially, elderly with high dependency should be received the proper care and treatment (both general health and dental health) by skilled caregivers and health professionals. However, it is a big gap for geriatric dentistry in Thailand. Thus, this is my point that I need to learn and develop some oral health care program for long-term care in dependent elderly. Moreover, the opportunity that participated in this program (JSPS in Preventive Dentistry Department, Faculty of Dentistry, Niigata University) will play a major role in developing my work of geriatric dentistry field in Thailand.
