The International Symposium for Global Oral Health Science Niigata 2010 was held in Niigata, Japan, 9 October 2010, hosted by WHO Collaborating Center for Translation of Oral Health Sciences, Niigata University. The main objectives of the symposium were to highlight the advanced evidences for integration oral and general health, and to promote oral health promotion globally.

Prof. Poul Erik Petersen (Chief dental officer, Global Oral Health Programme WHO), Prof. Murray Thomson (WHOCC, University of Otago), Prof. George W Taylor (University of Michigan), Prof. Zhu Ling (WHOCC, Peking University) and Prof. Waranuch Pitiphat (Khon Kaen University) joined as distinguished oversea guest speakers.

Proceedings of the International Symposium for Global Oral Health Science Niigata 2010 are now under preparation, will be published in 2011. (Program of the symposium)
